Tonight is the opening night of our exhibition called Through The Lens. This was one of the last units we did at college on our last semester, where we had to organise an exhibition, including finding a space to take us. We were so lucky that Gallery 48 in Dundee had a 2 week gap available for us to fill! This is a fantastic space which is a few minutes walk from Dundee City Centre.
8 of us have work in show, with a mixture of landscape, pet portrait, still life and abstract photography. I would totally recommend Gallery 48 as a place to visit and have a drink or meal, while enjoying local creativity. They seem to be very keen to support local artists and photographers, so it's worth speaking to them if you need a venue to help show your work or find connections.
Big thanks go to Ewan who did much of the planning for the exhibition. Also big thanks to Ben who designed our poster, with the help of a lens photo taken by myself. It looks great! Very proud of everyone and their work. The Gardyne College HND Photography graduates of 2023.
